With seven months to go, interest among manufacturers and the trade in the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR COLOGNE is strong. The event will take place from February 28- March 3, 2010 at the Koelnmesse Fairgrounds in Cologne, Germany.

Major players among the hand tool companies will be GEDORE, ROTHENBERGER, HAZET and KNIPEX. Market leaders among the Power tools and accessory companies are EINHELL, Wolfcraft and PFERD-Rüggeberg. Tools will make up the strongest of the total of 5 segments, the others being Industrial Supplies, Fastening & Fittings, Locks and Home Improvement. Cleaning machinery giants Nilfisk-ALTO and the Hailo company will lead the Industrial Supply Segment, while Hettich, GAH Alberts and HSI Schwerter will be the heavy weights in the Locks & Fittings segment.

Sustainable Furnishings Council Promotes International Profile of its members

The SUSTAINABLE FURNISHINGS COUNCIL GROUP EXHIBIT PLANNED FOR NEXT YEAR’S IMM COLOGNE IN COLOGNE, GERMANY

Chicago, IL – High Point, NC – Cologne, Germany

The Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) and Koelnmesse Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Koelnmesse GmbH, organizer of the imm cologne trade fair, announced a partnership with SFC to co-organize a SFC Group Exhibit at the January 2010 event.

SFC is a non-profit balanced coalition of industry players based in High Point, NC which was founded in October 2006 to promote sustainable practices among manufacturers, retailers, and consumers alike. During imm cologne SFC will organize a seminar program called "GREEN-Sell” featuring how to position, market and sell sustainable furnishing products. Details on time and location of this seminar will be provided later this year.
